Felipe leads CGRS’s policy advocacy related to human mobility in the Americas, including climate displacement. He is a frequent speaker on these issues, presenting in academic, advocacy, and media settings. Felipe also spearheads CGRS's Spanish language public education efforts.
Before joining CGRS, Felipe worked as a Department of Justice accredited representative at Catholic Charities of San Francisco, providing direct legal services, outreach, and public education in the immigrant community of San Mateo County, California. He also worked at the Center for Justice and Accountability, supporting the litigation of cases involving serious human rights violations in different Latin American countries.
Prior to migrating to the United States, he served as in-house counsel for one of Colombia's largest television networks.
