Please join the Center for Gender & Refugee Studies-California (CGRS-CA) and Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) on a training about working with Ukrainian refugees. This training will equip legal practitioners with culturally competent, trauma-informed tools to improve legal outcomes and client trust for Ukrainians and Russian-speaking asylum seekers affected by war.
The training will provide a practical overview of asylum law and form preparation, including how to identify eligibility, complete a legally sufficient I-589, and frame strong, credible claims. The session is designed to equip participants with the core skills needed to assist pro se asylum seekers effectively.
