Genesis collaborates closely with the Policy and Advocacy team, gaining hands-on experience in a small nonprofit environment. Her contributions align with CGRS's mission to defend refugee and immigrant rights. Genesis supports the advancement of policy advocacy goals through research and provides crucial translation services for the CGRS website and documents.
Currently entering her second year at the University of Southern California this Fall, Genesis pursues studies in Law, History, and Culture. Her dedication to sexual and reproductive health rights and education is evident through her involvement in the campus club Women and Youth Supporting Each Other (WYSE). There, she mentors middle school girls and non-binary individuals in South Central Los Angeles, offering them essential education and resources in sexual and reproductive health.
In her free time, Genesis enjoys visiting Laguna Beach and spending time in the warm weather.
