Please join the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies (CGRS) for a webinar on the July 28, 2026 interim final rule (IFR) allowing U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to refer asylum applicants to the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) without an interview. Panelists will review what the IFR says, how it could impact asylum applicants, and provide practical client considerations. As requests for comments to the IFR are due on September 28, 2026, the webinar will offer background information and steps attendees can take to submit feedback. CGRS will also give an update on litigation efforts challenging the IFR.
Attendees are encouraged to submit questions on the registration form.
This webinar will be recorded.
