The Immigrant Health Equity and Legal Partnerships (ImmHELP) is excited to offer a 1-hour virtual workshop for California health care providers across disciplines focused on information and strategies to advance care and coordination for immigrant patients, particularly asylum seekers. Presenters will provide a brief overview of current immigration policies and trends and then explore the relationship between such policies and patients' health and health care. Next, presenters will discuss best practices for communicating with attorneys to support the well-being of immigrant patients who are in immigration-related legal proceedings. There will be time for participants to discuss and apply these strategies, and a tip sheet will also be provided as a resource.
