Join the ICON-S Interest Group on Climate Change and Migration for our webinar on "Climate Mobility in Advisory Opinions: The ICJ, IACtHR, and AfCHPR" on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 03:00-04:30 PM CET.

This timely webinar brings together leading experts to explore how international and regional courts are addressing climate-related displacement, entrapment, and resilience through their recent advisory opinion proceedings.

Featuring Professor Jane McAdam (UNSW Sydney), Felipe Navarro (CGRS), Junecynthia Okelo (PALU), and Dr. Lena Riemer (Central European University, Vienna), the event will examine emerging jurisprudence on climate mobility across three major judicial systems, discussing the recent advisory opinions delivered by the International Court of Justice and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, as well as the potential of the recent request for an advisory opinion submitted to the African Court of Human and Peoples' Rights.

The event is organised by the ICON-S Interest Group on Climate Change & Migration in collaboration with the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU). More information on the ICON-S Interest Group on Climate Change & Migration can be found here: https://www.icon-society.org/climatechangeandmigration/
